The SCS pumps are horizontal split casing pumps designed for specific capacity, speed, pressure and temperature. They are manufactured to close tolerances and rigid specification, and every pump is tested at works for performance and trouble-free operation before dispatch.

- Casing: axially split volute with suction and discharge branches in the lower half, so the rotating element is removed without disturbing pipework
- Impeller: single or double entry, closed type, hydraulically and statically balanced
- Shaft: high quality steel, sturdily proportioned to minimise deflection
- Sleeves protect the shaft for longer life
- Neck ring designed with proper clearances to minimise leakage
- Diametrically opposed volute reduces hydraulic loads, extending seal and bearing life
- Standard cartridge bearings and seals removable without displacing the top half casing
